During a time when social distancing is key to help keep our communities safe and to support our health care system (thank you to all those on the frontlines), some of us are fortunate to be at home. Of course, even though we are lucky to be home, I know some of us may be going a little stir crazy (myself included). So, I did what I am good at and started a list of things I could do. I thought they may be helpful for others, so I turned my paper list into a quick blog. I hope it provides some fun ideas for you to do and catch up on during quarantine.
Some ideas on how to spend evenings the next two weeks:
- Find a puzzle you’ve stored away
- Dig into that game closet and give an old game a try!
- Make that photo album you’ve been wanting to create
- Call that distant family member and/or friend to reconnect
- Early spring cleaning – why not!
- Catch up or find a new tv show (or 5!)
- Read a good book
- Start that blog at last
- Utilize online workouts! CorePower, PureBarre and Barre3 are offering free classes right now (thank you!)!
- Order those prints for your home you’ve been wanting to order for forever
- Have an instrument you haven’t picked up in awhile? Go grab it!
- Research that nonprofit you’ve thought about donating some time to! There may be awesome ways to virtually volunteer this year
- Write a poem or write that story you’ve thought about
- Start planning your next adventure you want to take when our world falls back into place
In summary, there’s a lot we can do and take advantage of. I realize that I need to view this social distancing in a different light to stay positive. Others are fearing serious consequences and the least I can do is to distance myself and help control the spread. For those that are able to stay home, it is: 1) a time to socially connect with those that live further away and 2) and opportunity to find social solitude and explore some interests again!
Thinking of you all, we can do this together!
Love, Bri
