Creating a wedding gift registry is so much fun. It’s exciting to dream up all the spaces you want to fill together. To help inspire and plan your own registry needs, I documented a few considerations and specific items I’d recommend below. Happy registering!
1. Fun Wedding Registry Experiences
If you are located in the US, I just have to tell you about one experience that was so special and so helpful that we recommend it to everyone. It’s Crate & Barrel’s registry event open just for couples to attend. They open up the store early and there are vendors sharing and educating you on specific product lines. In addition, with less customers in the store, the staff is readily available to help answer additional registry questions and give advice. It’s such a nice experience and you receive a little gift when you leave!
2. Favorite Places to Register
When you’re deciding where to register, the key is to choose a few different stores that make it fun and easy for your guests to shop at. For us, we chose Crate and Barrel and Target. Crate and Barrel had the majority of items we really wanted to furnish and fill our home with, while Target had a lot of great essentials and was convenient for a lot of guests.
If you have a lot of different places you want to register (more than three), I’d recommend you use Zola. Zola combines all the items onto one list across all the stores for you!
3. Breaking down your wedding registry by room and function
When creating your registry, if you go into the store without some kind of list, you may find yourself very scan happy – which is fun and fantastic! But, then when you get home, you may be looking at your list and feeling confused on what you just did and what else you missed. To help guide, I broke down items you may want to consider, by room/function in your home.
